Kangana Ranaut is the new brand ambassador of Reebok India, and with their campaign’s core idea of being fitter and stronger—inside and out, there could not have been a better choice. She’s got a body that defines healthy living, and her independent, no-filter attitude really adds to her strength.
The star shared her fitness mantra with us and lets us in on how she plans to make 2016 a whole lot better:
Fitness routine
I try to restrict my physical activity to an hour a day. In that one hour, I do different fitness activities such as yoga, Pilates, horse riding and ballet. I like to choose from a wide array of options so that doing just one activity doesn’t bore me.
2016 goals
My fitness goal for this year is to strengthen my muscles. I want to spend more time on enhancing my personality rather than just doing regular treadmill routine. My other goal is to keep myself involved mentally and try new forms of physical activities, such as ballet and horse riding. As the new Be More Human campaign of Reebok states: “how fit you are defines how far you go”, I aim to be fitter physically, mentally as well as socially.
Pre- and post-workout meal
My pre-workout meal is a banana and post-workout is a vegan protein shake.
Current healthy snack obsession
I am not really obsessed with health smoothies, but I like oatmeal bread toast with some spread like almond butter.
Your fitness philosophy
I believe that mental and emotional fitness are as important as physical fitness. I do prayanam and yoga and make sure that I emotionally balance things by spending time with my family, my dog or listening to good music. I also feel that anything in life can be accomplished if we believe in ourselves.
Your travel workout tricks
I try to do some stretches as a part of on-the-go fitness regime. Also, it is easy to carry a skipping rope and a yoga mat while travelling.
Your munch-on snacks on shoots
I prefer eating fruits, toast and cookies.
Your cheat snack
I like besan ka halwa made in ghee by my mom.
Your detox method
I drink a lot of honey, lemon, ginger and hot tea. Also, I do a lot of yoga and meditation.
Not just in the fitness department, Ranaut will inspire you to have fun with your hair too. Take a look at through our slideshow:
