Finally, a wish made by millions might have come true. You can now (binge) eat chocolate, and not feel a hint of guilt after. An experimental creation, Esthechoc, invented by scientists at the Cambridge Chocolate Technologies lab, claims to keep you young and beautiful by preventing fine lines and wrinkles.
Just 7.5g of this bar contains as much antioxidants as an Alaskan salmon fillet and free-radical fighting cocoa polyphenols as much as a 100g bar of dark chocolate.
It’s patented to be “The world’s first nutricosmetic with a strong, scientifically proven impact on the metabolism of ageing skin.” Yup, chocolate.
Claims have been made that it needs just three weeks to shows its effects, and a study on volunteers who ate a bar daily showed evidence of less inflammation in their blood, and increased blood circulation and supply to the skin tissue, thereby ensuring healthy skin.
The ‘Cambridge Beauty Chocolate’ comes in a three-week supply box, and will be available only at high-end retailers in select countries from October, and from what we understand, it won’t come cheap. In any case, we can’t wait to give it a go.
